| Rob Prodan
Rob Prodan is a proud father of three: Ellie, Emmaline, and Tripp. Ellie, a recent college graduate, is currently working as an alpine instructor in Steamboat and plans to begin her MBA in 2025. Emmaline is a junior at CU Boulder, following in her mother’s footsteps, while Tripp, a passionate skier, is a freshman at Steamboat Springs High School and a member of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club (SSWSC). Rob and his wife, Jennifer, have cherished Steamboat for over 25 years and made it their permanent home in the summer of 2024.
Rob spent over two decades as a Harbor Pilot, skillfully guiding ocean-going vessels in and out of the Port of Virginia. Alongside his career at sea, he co-owns a family development and construction business with his father-in-law and brother. In 2015, after 24 years of service, Rob retired to devote more time to his family and family business.
An enthusiastic athlete, Rob has completed numerous endurance challenges, including the Tour de Steamboat several times, triathlons, and a full-distance Ironman. He was the top fundraiser for the inaugural Ride 4 Yellow and, in 2022, joined an eight-person team in the Race Across America, raising money for Guardian Revival, a charity that supports emergency workers and military personnel.
Beyond his professional and athletic achievements, Rob is passionate about supporting young people, regularly giving back by sharing his time, experience, and knowledge to help the next generation succeed.

Professional background:
I was a member of the Virginia Pilot Association between 1991-2015, the association is charged with providing Maritime Pilots to all foreign vessels transiting the waters of Virginia. In addition the association also provides Pilot services to the US Navy including Naval Station Norfolk, the largest Naval Base in the World. I have worked as a general contractor in Virginia since 1998 and am President and co-owner of Home Associates of Virginia Inc., which is a residential and light commercial development and construction company operating in South Hampton Roads, VA.
Qualifications for the SSWSC board:
My professional experience as a member of a team as well as a business owner has been beneficial to me when I have served on Boards in the past. Additionally, while our 14 year old son has just enrolled at SSHS, we have been members and home owners in Steamboat since 2004, which I feel gives me a reasonable understanding of the community.
Why I want to serve on the SSWSC board:
I believe that supporting young people is critically important and always try to do my part to be a positive influence on them.
