My name is Dwayne Osborne, and I am originally from Oregon. I have lived in Phoenix Arizona for over 40 years. I am a US Navy veteran and a self-employed electrician. I have been involved in Ballooning since 1981.
From day 1, I was all in and looking for a balloon after my first ride. I have approximately 2000 hours in balloons, including flights over the Grand Canyon, Sandia Crest, and many other adventure flights. I have logged over 50 hours of night flights.
My focus has been on training new pilots for the past few years. I currently have seven active students, several of whom are close to getting their certificates.
I have been on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Balloon Club for nearly 10 years, serving as commander for the last five years. During this time, I have been a co-presenter at our private pilot ground schools.
I fly commercial rides in Phoenix Arizona and Snohomish Washington. I am experienced in flying regular-shaped balloons up to 400,000 ft.³ and have flown a few special shapes over the years.
Our ballooning community is facing many challenges and issues. I would appreciate a chance to work towards finding as many solutions as possible.
Thank you
