As a licensed pilot since 1993 and active Event Director since 2010, I have obtained the passion, experience and knowledge of all forms of competition from observers and paper maps, to the current Balloon Live technology and everything in between. As your Great Lakes Regional Director, I would represent the interests of competitors and Event Directors with varying skill levels.
My competitor experiences have resulted in becoming the 2004, 2005 and 2013 US National Champion, I have flown in five different FAI World Championships with 11th, 4th, 19th, 13th and 17th place finishes respectively.
As an Event Director, I have successfully led the 2021 and 2022 US National Championships (Scottsbluff, NE) with use of the Balloon Live technology. In 2023, I was honored to have been sought after as Event Director of the US Women’s National Championship (Jackson, MI). All three championships were first and foremost safe, highly successful, efficiently run and very competitive.
I have served the HACD previously as Chair, as an appointed member and as US National Championship Director. It is my desire to continue to serve and promote membership growth by improving competitor accessibility to task strategies, current technology and to the HACD Board, as well as raising the bar for competition event safety.
I ask for your support and vote as HACD Great Lakes Regional Director.
