Kelly Hilberth – Candidate for the HACD Board of Directors

As a full-time commercial pilot, ballooning educator, and active competitor, I bring a well-rounded and practical perspective to the HACD Board. I entered competition with a small round balloon, and within two years earned a top-ten national ranking—proof that determination and mentorship matter more than equipment alone

I’ve dedicated time to promoting competition through speaking engagements, school programs, and safety seminars, always encouraging new pilots to get involved. As chair of the New Jersey 99s, I understand the importance of teamwork, transparency, and supporting underrepresented voices in aviation.
